THE LUSSH STORY

The Lussh is headed by Maree Henry, founder of the iconic Queensland-based fashion label, DISSH. When Maree first stepped into the venue, she saw the potential for something extraordinary.  Meet, The Lussh.


Built in 1925, in what was formerly known as the City of Lushington, this warehouse space first housed a men’s only lodge for the Order of the Buffaloes. Almost a century later, the venue has lived a colourful life, even serving as a heavy metal nightclub for a brief period of time. 


The team's passion for design and creative spaces inspired the extensive renovation of the venue, transforming it into the incredible space it is today. 

SPACES | LOWER LEVEL 

Venue hire includes exclusive access to our entire lower level including our outdoor cliffs area. We take care of the set up of our included furniture and styling items, and can recommend suppliers for anything extra!

The Cliffs

Nestled amongst luscious natural cliffs and greenery lies the ideal location for picturesque weddings, cocktail hours, fashion cat-walks, leisurely long lunches and all-day events! This area provides a paved undercover area and includes an assortment of outdoor furniture (hint: our hire pop-up bar also works perfectly out here!)

The Dining Room

Our Dining Room is the perfect space to accomodate a range of events, from sit-down dinners, to engaging panel discussions, vibrant cocktail gatherings, catwalks, and product launches - including cars! We’ve comfortably fit two large cars and three MINI’s within this space. This versatile area is the perfect blend of stylish and adaptable to suit your unique needs.

The Dance Floor

Don't be fooled by its name - this area is much more than a dance floor! It flows through seamlessly to our Dining Room and works as a great space to create a grand entrance, host market stalls, trade shows, wine tasting nights and photo booths. It can be used as an extension to our Dining Room, or as a pre-event space before guests sit down for their panel discussion, dinner or catwalk. But, of course, it also works great as a dance floor!

SPACES | UPPER LEVEL 

The Loft

The Loft is available to hire for an additional cost and is the perfect space for indoor weddings, theatre-style or cocktail events, chic cat-walks or even a backstage area for your team or models! Hire of this area includes use of the Sun Room, and our Upstairs Landing (Floor plans are below for your reference!)

The Lounge

The Lounge is the perfect retreat space. This room is available to hire for an additional fee and has been used in the past as a bridal suite, getting ready area, green room, editing area and even as a casual meeting space away from the action of your event. As each event is different, use of this space is quoted per event & requirements.

Our talented team of planners and stylists are creative, logistical and well-versed in all the intricacies that come with our unique space. We can do it all; from your initial consultation, to creating your mood board, to sourcing your dream vendors, we focus on perfecting every last detail of your day. You would be surprised how many couples share post-wedding that they wish they'd had a planner or stylist!
